University Indigenous Women and Women of Color

University Indigenous Women and Women of Color sponsors events and gatherings that create a space for all women of color within the University to feel valued, supported, respected, and connected.

Indigenous women and women of color at the University of Minnesota play a vital role in the advancement of the mission of the institution as a whole. As one of several staff and faculty affinity groups, University Indigenous Women and Women of Color (UIWWOC) has liaisons in the Women's Center with support from the Office for Equity and Diversity and the Office of Human Resources.

UIWWOC hosts monthly book clubs meetings, a bi-annual fall breakfast, as well as occasional networking/professional development opportunities.
