Culture Corps Gender Equity Award

The Culture Corps Gender Equity Award is given annually to an international student in support of their work in bringing a global perspective on advancing gender equity to the University of Minnesota campus.

Amount

$500 award will be given to the recipient in support of their work on a project which brings a global perspective on advancing gender equity to the University of Minnesota. The recipient is recognized via the Women's Center media channels, at the annual Celebrating Changemakers event and/or other virtual recognition event hosted by the Women's Center.

Eligibility Requirements

  • University of Minnesota student enrolled in a credit-granting program and in good academic standing;
  • Be eligible for a Culture Corp award from International Student and Scholar Services 
  • Be on an F1 or J1 student visa;
  • Maintain a credit load during the academic year following the receipt of the award. For example, students who apply by the June 24, 2022 award deadline must maintain a credit load during the 2022-2023 academic year.

Application Process

To apply for the Culture Corps Gender Equity Award, submit an online application here. Applications for the 2022-2023 awards are due by 4:30 pm on June 24, 2022, for projects taking place between September 15, 2022 and June 30, 2023.
